Building Client Net Worth Pages
Create a client balance sheet with live linked accounts, manual accounts, document imports, and AI-assisted updates.
Start from the Net Worth tile
Open the client dashboard and click the Net Worth tile, or navigate directly to Net Worth. Advisors can build the client balance sheet from connected accounts, manual accounts, or supported document imports.
Option 1: Connect accounts with Plaid
Use Plaid when the client can link bank, credit card, loan, mortgage, or investment accounts for live balances and ongoing sync. Linked accounts can also support transaction and holding data when the institution provides it.
Option 2: Add accounts manually
Use manual entry for checking, savings, real estate, vehicles, business interests, private investments, collectibles, liabilities, or any account that should be tracked without a live feed.
Option 3: Import from documents
When supported document scans are available, use AI document import to help populate the balance sheet from statement data. Review imported values before using them in client-facing planning.
Use Net Worth AI Chat
The Net Worth AI assistant can add or update accounts from plain-language prompts, such as adding a high-yield savings account with a specified value. Always review account type, owner, value, and visibility after AI-created updates.
Step by step
- Open Net Worth: Click the Net Worth tile on the client dashboard or open the Net Worth page.
- Choose a Build Method: Connect with Plaid, add a manual account, or import from supported documents.
- Add the Account Details: Enter account name, type, balance or value, owner, and liability details if applicable.
- Review the Breakdown: Confirm assets, liabilities, ownership, and net worth totals.
- Use AI Carefully: Let AI create simple accounts when useful, then verify the resulting account details.
