Custom Goals and Goal Templates
Create practical goals that feed the client cash-flow plan.
Goal Categories
FinDash organizes goals into Needs, Wants, Wishes, and custom categories. Use categories and priority to explain which objectives are essential, important, or aspirational.
Templates
Preset templates include buying a house, vacation, vehicle purchase, education, emergency fund, and a fully custom goal. Templates add helpful defaults and goal-specific fields.
House Purchase Details
The house purchase template can model home price, down payment, closing costs, carrying costs, property tax by state, maintenance, insurance, HOA, mortgage assumptions, and VA loan settings where relevant.
Apply to Cash Flow
After creating a goal, apply it to a selected cash-flow scenario. FinDash generates the relevant savings and expense rules so the objective appears in projections. If a goal is edited or deleted, review the generated scenario items so the plan stays clean.
Tiered Funding
Use Basic, Comfortable, Ideal, or custom tiers when one goal has multiple acceptable funding levels. The active tier controls the assumptions used for analysis and scenario rules.
