Create a Household with Multiple Logins
Give each household member a separate FinDash login while keeping planning, access, and household operations connected.
Start from the primary client Profile
Open the client account, go to Profile, and click Manage household above the household member tabs. The panel separates household contacts marked No login from linked FinDash accounts.
Add the person to the household
Click Add member. In Add New Family Member, either enter the person or use Add from Existing Contact or Account. Selecting an existing FinDash account links that login to the household; selecting a contact only copies its details until an account is created.
Create a login from an existing household contact
In Manage household, find the member marked Household contact · No login and click Create account. Confirm the prefilled name and email in Create Account on Behalf of Client. A new email creates the account without notifying the client. If the email already has a FinDash account, the flow changes to Request Account Access instead of creating a duplicate.
Set the household relationship
Choose the correct relationship before saving. For spouse or partner relationships, the form can enable Mutual spouse edit access and Mirror dashboard from this profile. Mutual access lets both accounts open and edit each other; dashboard mirroring replaces the additional login's home dashboard with shared widgets from the source profile.
Choose dashboard mirroring intentionally
Turning on Mirror dashboard from this profile also enables mutual spouse edit access. It can share Net Worth, Tax Profile, Investments, Transactions, Cash Flow Plan, Tasks, Goals, Vault, and Profile widgets. Leave it off when the additional login should keep an independent home dashboard.
Confirm the primary household member
After at least two linked logins are recognized, Manage household shows Primary household member. This designation controls the firm representative used for household search, tasks, workflows, and account switching. Changing it does not change sign-in access, financial data, or dashboard sharing.
Invite every login separately
Account creation does not email the household member. Return to Contacts, find each person's full account row, open the far-right Actions menu, and choose Send Email Invite. Each person activates and signs in with their own email.
Verify the finished household
Reopen Manage household and confirm each intended login is labeled FinDash account, the correct primary member is selected, and sharing settings match the household's needs. Use the cog on a full-account member to review who can open each account; dashboard widgets are managed separately.
