Reality Check and Historical Cash Flow
Review actual transactions and compare real activity with the plan.
Historical Data Mode
Historical Data is the transaction workspace for linked bank and credit card activity, PDF statement imports, CSV/Excel imports, and manual transaction records. It is separate from Financial Future, which models forward-looking planning items.
Reality Check Use Case
Use Reality Check to compare actual inflows and outflows with the planning categories used in a cash flow scenario. This is most useful after the client has enough transaction history and the categories have been reviewed.
Transactions Are Included by Default
FinDash shows transaction activity by default and lets advisors manually exclude items that should not affect planning analysis. Transfers, credit-card payments, and one-off events should be reviewed instead of assuming the system should hide them automatically.
Views and Filters
Switch between transaction list, category view, merchant view, and excluded transaction view. Use date, account, institution, inflow/outflow, merchant, category, and search filters to narrow the review.
Export and Audit
Export transaction data when the advisor needs a working file for analysis or client review. Cash-flow planning history and audit data can also be exported where supported.
