AI Task Creation
Create, update, and manage tasks using natural language with FinDash AI for advisor productivity workflows.
Where It Works
AI task creation is available through AI Chat, Voice Agent, and task-related workflows when the user has permission to create the requested task type.
Task Types
FinDash supports personal tasks, firm tasks, and client-assigned tasks. Client-assigned tasks appear in the client task list, while internal firm tasks can be about a client without being assigned to the client.
Natural Language Inputs
You can describe the task title, client, due date, priority, tags, assignee, and recurrence in plain language. Natural dates such as tomorrow, next week, or end of quarter are normalized into task fields.
Client Matching
When the prompt mentions a client or household, AI attempts to match the correct contact or account. Review the matched client before relying on the task, especially when households have similar names.
Recurring Tasks
The task system supports recurring schedule fields such as recurrence type, interval, start date, end date/count, day-of-month, ordinal weekday, and calendar-mode recurrence. Confirm recurring tasks after creation because recurrence rules can affect many future occurrences.
Updating Tasks
AI can update due dates, priority, status, completion, tags, and other supported fields when the target task is clear and the user has access.
